LONE STAR

Someone saw lone star today, as the team are 118 and 148?

And what is the average of these points?

For what i saw with 118 that were having a little trouble with their shoot. I am sure they will have that fix by tommrrw. As for 148 they look really good whether it was shooting close or the long bomb. The most i saw them score was well over a 100. For what ive seen so far in practice rounds 148 looks like the team to beat at Lone Star but then again this is just practice rounds so we shall see how it pans out in rounds friday and sat.

Anyone care to post a 148 picture?

I'm pretty sure there is a federal sequester on the bandwidth coming out of LSR. If anyone actually saw anything beyond general shapes on the webcast, you are luckier than my friend, my contacts, and myself.

Check again tomorrow.

The feed improved quite a bit at the end. Resolution could still be better.

Don't have a picture, but I saw them on the practice field working out a 30-pt climb on the outside side of the pyramid. Tall black bot. I'm assuming the shooter is deadly, since it's 148. Didn't notice if there was a ground load.

Anyone have details on 118, i.e. climb time?

If they add a 30 point climb to that deadly shooter all i got to say is watch out.

When I say working on, I mean they looked like they were tweaking it. It was up at the 30 point level on the practice field.

They pulled their climber and will have a 10 point hang tomorrow

Why did they remove their climber? It seemed so flawless.

They don't seem to need it.

We played with them and our alliance scored 118 points.

Only 20 points of climb with our team and another climbing for 10.

I hear they had weight issues, but I wouldn't be surprised if it were something else entirely.

I saw them on the practice field on Thursday evening. Their technique to get to the 30 point level is the most "dramatic" that I have seen so far.

It all makes sense now.

They manipulate their CG causing large changes in attitude. All the spectators got pretty tense when watching. I don't know if I have any pictures at home capturing this. It is best seen in a video but the stream from Lone Star does not seem to work for me here at work.

And 148 just fell from 30! Boy, that is dramatic! I hope their bot is okay.

They went out the subsequent match without a shooter

I've been informed the shooter will be back the next match. The turnaround time was too short.

I hope 148 is OK too.

Is the video stream from Lone Star working for any of you? I can't get it to work for me here at work and have had tow watch the Toronto East matches. Hopefully they attempt the climb again tomorrow when I can attend.

For a sec there, I thought 118's driver was messing up, but then I realized they were just making it more dramatic: I think I just saw 22 points in about 4 sec.

Ships are safe in a harbor, but that is not why ships are built. :)

Ill be referring to your robot as the "party-yacht" from now on.

But I like the non-conservative gameplay!
