I was trying to figure out when 3236 fell on you, Looks like 4:08, 5:34, 6:16?I'm thinking it is at 7:15. Students working all around the robot. Great documentary. |
Re: Boston Regional 2013
3236 falls on us around 7:05. The other times with high activity around the robot are when our shooter arm got bent during a climb (happened twice), and when we were troubleshooting our pneumatic system/indexer.

Re: Boston Regional 2013
There is also a section of the video missing because the extension cord was needed for a sawzall. The laptop in question has approx 5 minutes of battery life.
I still need to try different setting for the video, but overall there are more than 12000 frames in the timelapse. The bright spot over the field on Saturday is the end of 125's stupendously bright led sign. |
Re: Boston Regional 2013
Working with 125 and 126 was a dream come true and a very rewarding experience. Working with such talented drivers and coaches will have a lasting impact on our team. Every round was exhilarating to watch and fun to be a part of. We are going to come to Champs with an even more consistent climber with an autonomous mode and maybe some other surprises. I would love an opportunity to work with either of our alliance partners again. Best of luck to all moving forward!!!
Does anyone know if 3173 qualified for Champs? They really really deserve the spot! |

Re: Boston Regional 2013
We did not qualify for CMP, the wild card spot must be created at a prior regional. Simply qualifying in the same event twice does not do it.
Good luck to all teams going! We will be watching and rooting for you over the webcast! |

We'll do our best to rep the Boston finalist alliance in St. Louis; thanks for doing so much to get us that far. You guys are the best. |
Re: Boston Regional 2013
So.... it's taken me a little longer than I would have hoped, but I did have the CT Competition last week so I got a bit backed up!!
Here are my photos from the Boston Regional Competition!! http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimsrob...7633085551372/ (there are about 20 more that I didnt finish uploading this morning that should be up later tonight) Standard statement - Please make sure to give Photocredit and/or leave my copyright symbol on the bottom of the picture if you want to reuse it. If you want any of these clean versions (ie no copyright) or with changes for press releases or anything, just let me know. Unfortunately I was trying out some new settings and made the mistake of not looking at the photos on anything other than my LCD before the event was over, so I had some settings issues that caused this to not be my best set. There are still some decent photos, but a lot aren't as "crisp" as I would have liked and they took a lot more fighting with to cleanup in a lot of cases. I've got my fingers crossed that CT worked out better! I'm finding just like engineering, there are plenty of ways to "fail" in photography... and they are certainly great lessons for next time!! |
