Help with windows 8 sys image!
'ello. I recently had to purchase a new laptop because my older one's mother board cracked... ((no idea how or why, but it did....))
Now I want to install mint linux on my new computer, but i come across a nasty surprise! Windows 8 does not like to do system images! Now to be honest, I don't feel safe partitioning my computer without a full system image to restore to. The windows 7 system backup utility does not seem to work properly, claiming not enough space for shadow volume copy. I was wondering if anyone else had this issue, or if they can recommend a free system image utility. thanks a bunch in advanced, and please pardon any spelling errors.... |

It's under "Advanced Options"
http://arstechnica.com/information-t...your-whole-pc/ Also, be sure to disable "secure boot" in the BIOS (or whatever it's called now) settings. If you forget, you won't be able to boot. |
