You guys did very well!!! :)

Thankee

And I know. That was the closest anyone got in the qualifying matches to stopping 469. Well played! I'm assuming your next competition will be the Bedford district?

I hope you get everything sorted out before your next competition. I was very impressed with your design. :D

You mean the third time? (We fell in a practice match first) We dealt with residual problems for both days. We didn't even catch all of the affects of the original fall in practice &/or the 2nd fall, until we were tearing it apart after we were knocked out, to take off damaged parts. Part of our undercarriage got bent to where we didn't see it, but it prohibited the rack from fitting between it.

This caused a lot of problems along the way, and depending which fall it happened in, could have caused the others. It also prevented us from getting the 50 pointer on our succesful climb and dump because we couldn't get our tail up out of the 20 zone. Which makes me think it was our original fall that damaged it.. because, one of the things that triggered our second fall (the one in gif form) was we saw our tail was down, and tried to pull it up.
If you watch our original video, you will see it sit still for a long time, then movement, then fall. That was us trying to pull the tail up, then it sits still, but the weight shifted enough with the powdercoating making things slippery, that we fell... Sorry about the horrible grammar, but it is late and my mind is tired. :) I will try to upload the practice match fall when I can get it off my camera.

Thanks for sharing that video. I haven't gone back through all of ours yet. We REALLY got lucky on this one. And that is why we decided not to 30 point climb the last match. We were only going to go 20 points and shoot more, but we got lodged under the pyramid.

Looking forward to trying again though!! :)

it was a little too fast for me too, but looking at the normal direction, you can tell it was legal since the basicly slided down the pole. funny thing is one of my team mates offerd a climb similiar to this, he offered us to use pistons to push the ground and basically jump to the third step.

I was looking for this to show a few of our new students the reverse GIF but it seems to have been take down. One of my students decided to remake it.
