Re: Climb and Dump Club
Team 3496 can climb and dump in 40 seconds, this time including line up.
Sorry, the picture doesn't show us making a dump :( |
Re: Climb and Dump Club
CT regional Q67 saw 2170 climb and dump for 50 points in about 26 seconds. There was a bobble in there too, so climbing could be faster, I suppose. I have split the feed from 230's stream, here.

Re: Climb and Dump Club
Team 4294, Star-TREC demonstrated some climbing and dumping at the Troy District event. I can't remember how long it took, though. I remember it didn't take very long.

Re: Climb and Dump Club
Here is 3196 doing it at Smokey Mountains. We also did it at Palmetto and North Carolina. Occasionally the last frisbee falls out like in this video. we probably average around 30-40seconds for the climb and dumb. I think our fastest climb was around 20seconds

Re: Climb and Dump Club
Hopefully this isn't too off topic but has any robot completed an assisted climb (like shown in the kickoff video)?

Re: Climb and Dump Club
I believe 2374 was the only robot in the Northwest to climb and dump. They didn't always dump all 4 in successfully, but when they did it was cool!
Once they obtained the colored discs and returned to the pyramid, I think they could climb in around 15-20 seconds. The dump was delayed for a while, I believe they needed to wait for enough compressed air to dump. It made the tension rise and the Wambo Combo was all the more exciting! |

Add 75 to the list

Re: Climb and Dump Club
You can add team 358 to the climb and dump club as well. The Robotic Eagles of Hauppauge NY did it well enough to win the SBPLI Long ISland Regional this past weekend.
Oh yeah, they also took home some other hardware, something called the RCA. Watch for them at St. Louis |

Re: Climb and Dump Club
Team 236 the Techno Tics climbs by means of twin 1/2-2 lead screws, the lead nuts are driven and attached to the robot frame. The inner rails we call the tail never touch the carpet. The robot climbs up the inner rails, reattaches with the outer hooks, and "tail drags" to the next level and starts all over again till we reach the top. If all goes well we should climb a little faster at St. Louis. See you there.
