Their NASA facility isn't even that big! 1/3 of the floor space is their 80% size field, and on top of that, 1868 Space Cookies and their 50 members share the facility.

Jaw drop. That's insane.

I can't wait to see the actual video, because the "low quality leaked video" is faster and better than anything I have seen so far this season. Total and absolute inspiration from this robot.

I'm curious to see how good the drivers are at lining up. Our climber was roughly the same width and we ran into the corner gussets on the third level a number of times limiting us to 20 point climbs.

I'm sure they'll be well practiced, but it's a hard gap to hit from across the field, especially when you aren't climbing on the side closest to your drivers.

Looking forward to seeing it in action.

Its actually not as hard as it looks to line up. We have to have just about the same amount of accuracy as the poofs when lining up to climb. What helps though is that their is a line of black tape in the center of the field. Simply line your robot with the center of the line and you will be good at the top.

We have finished our official video and will post it at 2:54 PM PDT today. We think you'll find it to be well worth the wait!

Where did you reduce weight to add your climber? Looks great btw, (even if unprofessional video version as you say).

We rebuilt our shooter to use 550's instead of mini CIM's and pocketed our 10 point hanger.

Has that impacted your shooting at all? How have the 550s held up in testing so far?

The 550s have been fine, no motor related issues yet. We made a few other changes and were able to up our velocity quite a bit.

Our shooter also runs on 550s and we've also had absolutely 0 issues with them. We made the switch from mini CIMs for weight and sizing purposes and love the decision thus far.

With the output RPM of the Mini CIMs and 550s motors being quite different, how are you handling the differences? Transmissions, sprockets, gears etc.

If I recall from the pictures, Overkill uses belts from the motors to the wheels. Is that correct?

Agreed. We ran two miniCims at regional 1, and 2 550's at regional 2.

11 has also switched from Mini CIM to 550s between Palmetto and Mt. Olive. Our operator loves the swap.
