Illinois Robotics Organization - FB Contest
 

Hey Folks,

I'm part of a collegiate student organization, Illinois Robotics Organization, out at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. We run several teams that compete in various collegiate-level competitions, and we are actively involved in community outreach. IRO's resume includes starting a FRC, FTC and several FLL teams. We continue to mentor all of the teams we have started, and have even established a class (for credit) that students can take through which they mentor FLL teams.

Essentially, IRO was started by FIRST alumni and as an organization we have enveloped the FIRST principles.

There's currently a Facebook contest for different RSOs (Illinois's term for student orgs), to win some money. All it takes is for you to log on to your facebook account, head over to this page, then over to this link and vote for Illinois Robotics Organization.

Voted! Good Luck! Hoping to join IRO next year (will be matriculating to UIUC Engineering). I might stop by at Midwest in the pit and chat with you guys about what IRO is like. See you Thursday!
