2013 MAR Regional Championship
Alright everyone, the rankings are out!
I see 2 rookies highlighted in Green, plus all Chairman's Award winners qualified on points anyway. 2607 is excited to attend at the new venue of Stabler Arena and can't wait to compete again! |
Re: 2013 MAR Regional Championship
Alright really getting pumped for this one, especially since I go to Lehigh, cleared to go all three days woo!
I know of quite a few Lehigh engineering students that will be volunteering at the event through out the weekend, most of which is their 1st ever FIRST event. Shame so many great teams can't be there, and I wish them luck on whatever the future holds in store for them, whether it be Championships, another week 7 event, or their off-season. Most of all Good Luck to the teams that will be up here at Lehigh, see you guys around.:D |
Re: 2013 MAR Regional Championship
Team 1676 will be recording and posting videos of a full-field view of all matches at Lehigh to our Youtube Channel (youtube.com/team1676), hopefully the same day if WiFi is available. We just got new batteries for our HD camera, so all matches should be high quality. We'll also try to record alliance selections and award ceremonies.

Re: 2013 MAR Regional Championship
Hey everyone, just thought I should add this in. If you are using a GPS to get to the arena, make sure that you specify that you are trying to get to Stabler Arena, it has happened several times during the sports events here that people only type in Lehigh University and end up on the wrong side of the mountain.

Re: 2013 MAR Regional Championship
Similar to what I did in previous years, I ran through 100 simulated qualification match schedules (with 12 matches per team, using the FIRST match generator).
I used each team's world rank OPR from Ed Law's spreadsheet to determine their contribution to a match. I also used the autonomous OPR, climb OPR, and teleop OPR to help calculate the standings. I calculated the results for each of the 100 simulated qualification schedules, and then looked at some statistics from the aggregate results. The following were the values that were used in the simulation Code:
OPR Teleop Auto ClimbCode:
AvgRnk MedRnk ModeRnk MinRnk MaxRnk SDRnk #1Seed Top8Code:
AvgWins MedWins ModeWins MinWins MaxWins SDWins |
Re: 2013 MAR Regional Championship
Here's what the standings look like with the actual match schedule using each team's World OPR.

Re: 2013 MAR Regional Championship
Team 2607 had a fairly rough start today. Our shooter mysteriously lost all its power, and then we fell off of the second level of the pyramid due to a book alignment issue, and the fall broke the plate across the bottom of our robot that holds several important parts. (I can't complain, 75 recovered well from a nasty third level fall:yikes: )
However, we believe we've fixed our issues, and now we're ready to play our best :] |
