TEDxBrainport Student Pitch
Hello Chiefdelphi community,
my name is Ron Visser and I'm the coach from team #4481 - Team Rembrandts. We're the first native Dutch FRC team. And this year I applied for the TEDxBrainport (individually organized TED event. Brainport is our region, Eindhoven, The Netherlands) With this pitch I wanted to hint to FRC and FIRST in general. I think FIRST can generate a lot more technicians in Europe. From this 90 second pitch I hope to be chosen to do a 5minutes presentation. In general I want to give a talk about how our school system is now, and what there should be changed in my opinion. And show FIRST as an example. Because we, Team Rembrandts, think that FIRST can change a lot!! I'm a second year mechatronical engineering student at the Fontys University of Applied Science. I'm 19 years old and started this FRC team in Oktober 2011 when I was 17. Me and my team accomplished a lot already, integrated FRC within our school systems, create an environment where students teach students (Fontys Students learn Highschool students. We don't have parents as mentors), won the Rookie Allstar award in North Carolina, Raleigh, it took us 1 full year to collect all the money we need and we got a lot of other stuff in mind. We want to share the pitch with you all. Here is the link:http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=xp-d8Tv5lao And some pictures from the pitch: ![]() ![]() ![]() We would like to hear from you all, Kind regards Ron Visser Team Rembrandts |
