Becasue we're looking for the 2016 game, which ends with 6, I added 2 and 3, two factors of 6, to get 5. The fifth string of letters, "Opafs", brings up this image on Google as the first result. The first name on that chart, Don Larson, when searched on Wikipedia, although it is a different Don Larson, appears to have been a baseball player. Don was born on August 7, 1929. On that same date, Babe Ruth tied the record for grand slams in consecutive baseball games. The total calories of all possible components of a Denny's Grand Slam, ignoring seasonal fruit and yogurt, because you don't go to Denny's to be healthy, is 2710. Google Streetview of 2710, W State St, Milwaukee WI, shows a blue school bus. "The Big Blue Bus" happens to be a nickname of the Kansas City Royals baseball team.

This is a pretty deep hint from the GDC. For all I know, it could go deeper. I can only draw one conclusion from it.

Water Game 2016.

Not sure where you get water from all you wrote, to me it points more to Baseball. I can see "Wiffle Ball" into square, round and trianglular targets. Just as shooting baskets you had to deal with trajectory, the disc have trajectory, try hitting a wiffle ball into a target. You have to have the correct drop and hit placement on the bat. Put the bat into the KOP and put into the rules that the ball must be hit cleanly....not from a cup or pole like "T-Ball" would make for an intersting game. Balls back onto the field like "Break-Away" where they were put on rails and dropped into the center.
Something to think about.
Also, I agree with talking about 2016.....far enough out that GDC probably isn't actively working, yet this year's Freshmen, will be Seniors that year.

You didn't notice the water hints? Here's one. Put the red letters together and see what they say. Sometimes the hints are buried pretty deep.

And this single post will be dissected, examined, reworded, reinterpreted, lawyered, encoded, and/or inspected for clues by all of us for the next four years. This should be interesting.

I like the idea of skipping the water game and going to a flying game. 120 lb quad copters would be really fun.

On another note, a wiffle ball as a game piece would be quite a challenge to deal with if it needs to be thrown through/into a goal.

Maybe it'll be zero-g bowling.

The first image is of a plane
Plane has 5 letters in it so I shall take every 5th letter from the sign begin held in the second image, giving me kscheey
If you google this backwards, as yeehcsk, the 5th link leads to this web page
http://code.google.com/p/phrase-segm...le/syllable.07
The 5th word in this list is ADAPTER
When putting this word into google images, you get this image from Wikipedia
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Fi...ro-Adapter.jpg
The 5th button at the top of the page is Metadata, which when clicked on leads to a table where the 5th entry has details about ISO speed rating
A Wikipedia search of ISO speed rating leads to this
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Ca...O_speed_rating
The 5th item in this list is of ISO speed rating 125
When you click on this link, it leads to this page
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Ca...eed_rating_125
Which has images of children playing with water.
Must be a water game.

If by "fun" you mean "absolutely terrifying", then yes. They'd be so fun I'd be screaming my head off. I dare say that competition sounds fun enough that I couldn't handle being in the building while it was occurring.

Here's your slogan: "FRC 2016: a game so fun, you'll wet your pants."

Love it! We have gotten cooling fans for years in the KOP. We could use them to push ourselves around in zero G. Or were you thinking zero G in a vacuum? :yikes:

I'm still waiting for a game where robot compete in giant tubs filled with jello.

Re: 2016 FRC GAME

What about a game where there is a steel ceiling, and robots have to quad-copter themselves up, then adhere to the ceiling with a magnet, and then begin the game. The fun part? As the match continues, teams can try to hang on the upside down pyramids, and then if robots press a certain pressure sensor, the ceiling turns into a wall, and the robos on the pyramid have to readjust.
