St. Louis Weather

I've taken notice on the news that there has been heavy flooding in St. Louis. I haven't been to the Championship in St. Louis before, and although not going this year, I do know the arena is close to the river, and I am concerned about the conditions my team may run into. Can anybody give a 1st-hand perspective on what kind of conditions are at the arena? Has FIRST publicly stated any of their "what if..." plans?

Downtown is elevated a lot from the river. You would probably only run into problems if you had plans to go to the riverfront or parts of Laclede's landing. the Edward Jones Dome and America's Center should be perfectly fine, though.

Cold and rainy last night, patches of blue sky today. No signs of flooding

The Mississippi River is overflowing today near the arch. Nothing terrible though.

There's also this.

The river is at approximately the same height as it was during the championships in 2011. Our river cruise was cancelled, but I don't remember any other problems.

Missouri weather is rather unpredictable. This morning it snowed about 20 miles east from the dome, not sure if it did at the dome or not. Forecast shows a little rain saturday, but I think the weather will turn out nice. No tornados.

The dome is far enough away from the river that it'd have to be some insane flooding to reach that high.

The weather has been a bit wierd...I came to Championships last year, and I don't ever remember it being so cold! I would only need one jacket, they said. It won't be windy, they said...

Otherwise, I'm sooo pumped to be here!

I should have posted in this topic before, but as someone who attended college in St. Louis... I would not be surprised with any weather between 95* and incredibly humid, and 35* and snowing. Also be aware of tornadoes, earthquakes, floods, lightning... Yeah, basically the weather there could be anything this time of year.
