Re: Championships: Live Thoughts and Updates
Do they always put out the lights like this in Galileo?
|
Re: Championships: Live Thoughts and Updates
If there's no visual on Einstein's feed, how are we to keep up with the paper airplane division high scores?
|
Re: Championships: Live Thoughts and Updates
Just checked the twitter feed, as several of you have said, red's score was just showing much too low for the entire match.

Re: Championships: Live Thoughts and Updates
Scores showed about 50-point deficit between Arch and Curie- I call defect score counters.
EDIT: Yep. 201-233. Score showed 24 for Arch after autonomous. No way they missed that much. At least it's not robots breaking down. |
Re: Championships: Live Thoughts and Updates
33's intake seemed not to be working in auto, meaning they didn't hit anything from the second half of their 7 disk. Still, does seem off.
|
Re: Championships: Live Thoughts and Updates
I just assumed it would be higher, it looked too even for that big of a margin.

I think 1477 got hit hard and fliped there switch. Not sure about citrus looked like they got hit into the feeder then died. Im currious if its com related or not. FIRST seems on top of it.

It looks like 1678 was dead for a brief moment, moved, then died near the feeder station. |

I have no idea about 1678. 303 was determined to be disconnected from the field. And wow. 303 dead didn't even make a dent. |

|

303's battery was disconnected? If it happened before the match wouldn't they have noticed? 303 never moved, I don't see how it could have disconnected. I wonder what they have to say about this?

254 points for Newton, lets do the math: There were 164 Teleop points curtsey of the twitter feed from only two robots. 164/3 = approx. 55 discs (meaning something was scored not in the 3 point goal, but lets just say they all were because that gives the best case scenario to Newton) Now divide that by 4 to get the amount of trips. 55/4 = approx. 14 Saying that there were only two robots operational to put that up that much, that means that each had to average 7 trips (28 discs) in two minutes AND make every shot. Also, remember sabotage needed at least the last 30 seconds to climb. Even though one of the robots on Newton has a pickup, they would have had to put up a LOT of discs, and this just doesn't add up to me. Does anyone else think this is fishy or is it just me? But if it isn't, major props to Newton, that was amazing. EDIT: They re-scored it and Galileo won. Math prevails. Actual score is Red: 200 Blue: 225 |

Perfect 7-disc autonomous plus 2 3-discs by 1477-610-1241.
Last known score was 165-205 in favor of Galileo. Was it just me, or did 3476 have trouble scoring those last disks in the 3-point goal because the goal was overflowing? |
Re: Championships: Live Thoughts and Updates
that auton was perfection on the blue alliance.
|
My live thought: The Bedford Express 1023 fit the 5th reason you might be addicted to first a little too well...

610 WAS dead. Briefly.
Costed them the match. They were keeping pace with 33-469-1519, but lost it when 610 died. |
Re: Championships: Live Thoughts and Updates
Yep...right after getting loaded on about their 4th cycle.
|
Re: Championships: Live Thoughts and Updates
The Galileo alliance absolutely dominated that match.
20-point spread after autonomous makes one heck of a difference in this game. We are onto a rubber match. Who called the timeout? |
Re: Championships: Live Thoughts and Updates
Of all Einstein, were any discs scored in the 2 point goals?
|
Re: Championships: Live Thoughts and Updates

This year? In spades! HTH!!! Could 610 slip so far into the draft?!?!? Incredible steal of a pick! |
Re: Championships: Live Thoughts and Updates
Hey does anyone remember what match Andy Baker MC'd on Galileo and if it was with 610 1477 and 1241 in it. If so he picked to MC the match with a world champ twice in a row :P

Re: Championships: Live Thoughts and Updates
quick question - anyone know if finale is being extended?
|
Re: Championships: Live Thoughts and Updates
Awesome set of matches on Einstein, and a great advert for the program.
Congrats to 610, 1241 & 1477 Quote:
(One of those is the erroneous score from SF2-2, but assuming the 54pt mistake was in teleop, the corrected score would still not be a multiple of 3) |
Re: Championships: Live Thoughts and Updates
will the finale be live streamed
|
Re: Championships: Live Thoughts and Updates
That was fantastic! I'm a rookie, and this was my first time watching the championships live. 610, 1477, and 1241 were so amazing. I had no idea alliances could work together so seamlessly. Also, the number of people at the event was stunning. |
