Updated with results(that I believe are accurate...)

316 had some problems (can anyone elaborate?)

In QF1 the hub of the window motor that adjusts 316's shooter angle slipped off the shaft. We helped them rig something to keep the hub on.

In QF2 the fix for their shooter worked, but one of their drive wheels broke. There wasn't enough time to get a new one on for QF3, so we had to call a backup.

I'd also like to thank our all alliance partners and 1923 for hosting the event!

This event was great; the elimination matches were exciting. I especially enjoyed it when 869 pushed 225 back up after they fell over during the final match.

oh I wasn't at the event and sadly no webcast. My mistake

Many congratulations to 225, 369, 869 and 316! What an awesome show. You always teach us a lot, though I can honestly say I prefer the same side of the glass!

But moreover, to the MM Board and 1923: Wow. No, seriously, wow. That was quite literally the best rookie off-season I've ever had the pleasure of attending. I hope it went well for you, because a lot of people will miss this if it doesn't come back next year!

And of course, thank you to 11 and 2495 for a great run to finals! We've been wanting to play with MORT for quite a while now, but I have to say the experience still exceeded my expectations (which I admit were rather high--your reputation precedes you). You're great alliance captain. And thanks again to 2495 for joining us and bringing some impressive defense to bear on some very tough matches. Well done, guys!

The MidKnight Mayhem Committee and Team 1923 did a fantastic job with this event. One could hardly tell it was a first year event it ran so smoothly.

Big thanks to Team 225 for picking us despite the problems we were having earlier on in the day. It was great to finally be playing on the same side as you guys, even if only for two quarterfinal matches.

Thank you also to Team 369 and our backup Team 869. You guys did an outstanding job, and it was a pleasure getting to work with you while we were out there.

Again, great job to all involved with this competition. I hope to see MidKnight Mayhem return in years to come!

Great event, MKM planning committee!

It was great for me to see 11, 1640, and 2495 on the same alliance. Fun and exciting trip to the Finals!

Congrats 225 and company on the win! Great to finally meet the mentors of 225.

I sincerely hope teams do not drop out of the event next year or decide to leave early. The method of selecting backup robots MKM had to resort to was odd, but oh well. Hopefully more teams sign up next year!

PS - Thanks for having all the puppies walking around :D

Keep up the great work!

Thanks! Our drive team for the past two seasons is itching to get their hands back on the controls after letting our next-year's drive team compete at these past two offseason events!

Thanks to all teams for again giving our new drive team some great practice before they experience the real thing next season. Congrats to the winning and finalist alliances, the finals were some awesome matches to watch. Thanks again to 1228 for picking us, and to 1089 for finishing off our alliance. And of course thanks to everyone for tolerating our alliance-selection antics again ;) .

Libby, Katie, Kelsey, 1923, and everyone else involved in planning MKM: amazing job. 1676 had a blast, and if I didn't know, I would have never guessed this was the event's first year. The mentor matches were fun, the frisbee-catching dogs were cool, and man do I wish I got one of those awesome clock awards! Now that I am going to college next year, maybe I'll get to volunteer at next year's MidKnight Mayhem competition.

We (well I guess I should say the Pascack Pi-oneers, now that I've graduated ) have recorded all of the qualification, mentor, and elimination matches, as well as the alliance selections and award ceremony, and they are now posted on Team 1676's YouTube Channel here: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...v14-iN-sggE1cm!

Can't wait to see some of you next month at IRI, and later this fall when I volunteer at Duel on the Delaware! :D

Just a short note to thank 1923 and the MKM team for such a classy event. As others have said, it felt like a 7th year event, not the first ever. It is very obvious just how muh work and planning when into this, it really showed.

I can't speak for the tem (that's Ryan's job) but I really had a great time. Great competition, nice venue, surprisingly good food (I had the Indian food, awesome) and lots of spirit.

My only complaint was the faucets in the men's room: One was scalding hot (and no cold), the other shut off as soon as it was released. But there are worse things in life...

Forgot to mention that; the venue really was nice. JB from 1403 and I were actually pointing out that it would be a great school for a district event sometime in the future. Lots of space and great seating.

Wheel broke and they said they wouldn't be able to fix it in 6 minutes.

Thanks to 1923 for hosting a great inaugural event. Everything ran super smoothly--it ran like 'clockwork' like a MAR district event.

Thanks to our alliance partners 316, 369, and 869. There was no way we could have done as well as we did without each of these teams.

We were very surprised that we got 869 as our backup (we turned in the replacement coupon not knowing all the replacement teams had left, last I had heard one was still there). They played the best defense I have ever seen, easily switching roles between blocking cycler shots and being our FCS fullback. They also righted us after we half-tipped against the wall during F2. Mad props to them.

An additional observation from this weekend:
