We need your help
 

Here is what we need your help with. Meredith needs your vote to sing the National Anthem or God Bless America at the Charlotte Motor speedway in an up coming event in May. Meredith Card former Student and Driver on Metal In Motion Team 343 has followed the FIRST agenda successfully. Upon graduation from High School she went to Winthrop University and got her degree in Math with a minor in secondary education. She is now in her second year teaching Math at Berea High School in Greenville SC.

Meredith and her brother Brian were both members of team 343. Brian became a Mechanical Engineer Graduating from Clemson University. So you see fellow FIRST members this program works. I personally was a Mechanical Engineer mentor for eleven years on team 343 and have seen many success stories.

Now Meredith, Brian and I would like to get the attention of NASCAR and we need your help. I am hoping you all can help us with this. We want to get a Sprint Cup team to support the FIRST logo on their car for at least one race this year. We need to get FIRST in the Main Stream. NASCAR I believe would be a great segway for us to accomplish our goal.

Meredith is currently in 4th place out of 140 contestants.

This contest only goes on till May 20th. You may vote once a day. You may vote from you computer, or smart phone. Please vote every day for us. Have your friends and families vote also. Your support will be greatly appreciated by us and FIRST if we are successful.

In closing I do apologize if this is posted in the wrong area. But we need help fast spread the word.

You have posted your msg in the right place! If CDizens cannot help for FIRST's cause, probably no one will, right guys??? Yes, not its time to vote, don't wait till 1st Tuesday of the month or November..thats for something else.:D

The link is of Meredith singing the national anthem. Her name is not on the website. She is currently in fourth place With approximately 1165 votes. Answer the simple math question and press the vote button.

I've known Meredith since she was a student on 343, and she is Good People. (Not that anyone on 343 isn't, in my experience. :))

Wow! It has been a long time since I've had a post to put on Chief Delphi! I wanted to take the time to post a quick reply to anyone and everyone who took the time to go to the website above and vote for me! It means so much to know that the FIRST community is such an amazing backbone of support! I am blessed and honored to have had FIRST as a guiding light for my future and even more pleased to know that the community is one that I can continue to count on. Even if I don't win, knowing that I have so much support means more than any first place prize ever could!
