Kinect 2: Wow.
 

Microsoft's big announcement was the Xbox One, but what I wanted to see was the Kinect 2. Wow... huge advances in image, audio, and processing power. It can even measure your pulse. By looking at you. IN THE DARK.

Okay... people on these forums will get that the whole "in the dark" thing isn't that big of a deal, but still... I can't wait to see what the hacks are going to be like for the Kinect 2.

It's funny how all I looked for in the Xbox One release was the Kinect info for use in FRC.

I hope Microsoft can make another attempt with FRC utilization (put it in the KoP!). Logomotion's implementation of the hybrid mode was not stellar by any means, but the use as a robot sensor at the time was vastly unsupported. If the new Kinect carries the level of support that the current Kinect has, I think we'll see a lot of teams using it next year.
