Trophy Case Ideas

All,

Does anybody have any ideas for trophy case designs, for say around $100? I'm designing a trophy case (or multiple ones) for our "upper room." I am probably going to end up paying for it myself and I'm not sure if the team can reimburse. I was hoping to build it out of general materials that I can get either from Lowe's or McMaster (lumber, glass, lexan, 80-20). Does anybody have any plans already made up or have any ideas? I'm working on some preliminary designs right now, but I don't want to reinvent the wheel if I can avoid it.

Thanks in advance for all your help!

Cinder blocks, wood planks, paint. Should have some $ left over.

For an actual "case" with a door and see-through front I'd go to a thrift store and see if there is a china cabinet you can modify.

How large of a case? I have a few designs worth around that.

If you want really simple, just use 80-20 and slide lexan in the slots to make the sides.

What are the dimensions of the box and what is going in it? Does it need to be enclosed with a lock or can it be a system of shelves?

It will be a trophy case for awards, pictures, memorabilia, etc. I would like for it to be enclosed, if nothing else, to try to keep the dust away from the contents, but it needs to be transparent on at least three sides. It does not need a lock, though, since it is going in our own space that is locked when we are not there. It's essentially a display case. I don't have exact dimensions, but I can work with whatever people have. I'm thinking 6-8' tall x 3-4' wide, but I can modify whatever plans anybody gives me.
