From my vantage point I can't see the rankings.

610, 4039, 1334, 3173, and 191 are all strong.

Many teams were missing low early on, possibly the field was set up with the pyramids slightly too close too the walls.

Many teams are much weaker than I expected them to be.

1241 is missing their floor pickup.

4001 has an almost entirely new robot

340, 1559, and 1334 have pulled off 30 point climbs

1334 had the only successful 50 point climb so far.

Many teams are working new drive teams.

Thank you for the update. How are 4343 and 1310 doing?

Re: 2013 Rah Cha Cha Ruckus!

4343 was having shooter issues with shooting low. Have now been corrected. We're also trying different drive teams each match. All of our 2013 on-season drive team graduated.

1310 is also having some issues with shooting low, though they're getting better.

3015 and 1507 are also decently strong.

3044's human player is pretty impressive.

Winning match scores are fairly low. 60-70ish.

There are many teams out there who could singlehandedly win matches here.

That #1 seed is STRONG!

They were lucky to grab 1511 as their last pick. We chose them at another off-season competition (Where's Wolcott). We were the 7th seed captain and we chose them as our last pick. They sometimes are forgotten about but I can truly say the 50 point climb they put up almost every match was essential to us becoming finalists (against the 1st seed).

I would bet money the 1st seed will win (unless something goes wrong)

1511 has yet to climb above 10 pts today.

4039/1334 will give them a solid run for their money.

<timeout alliance 4>

QF 2-2, 4v5, red wins, 128-109, 50 red/30 blue climb points, no penalties. (Strictly speaking, I'd argue 1559 shouldn't have been allowed to play. They missed the buzzer at the end of their timeout.)

QF 3-2, 2v7, blue wins, 86-73, 10 red/20 blue climb points, no penalties. 1126 tipped 1334 playing clean defense early in the match.

QF 4-2, 3v6, blue wins, 95-79, 10 red/20 blue climb points, no penalties.

QF 2-3, blue wins, 116-115, 30 red/50 blue climb points, 3 penalty points awarded to red.

QF3-3, 2v7, red wins, 98-22, 10 climb points each, no penalties. 1310's floor pickup jammed their shooter in auto

<timeout alliance 3>

QF 4-3, 3v6, red wins, 84-54, 10 climb points each, no penalties. 20 lost communications for most of the match

SF 1-1, 1v5, blue wins, 134-107, 30 red/50 blue climb points, no penalties. 610 didn't fire in auto, 191 sat no comms for most of the match. Same driver station as 20 in QF 4-3.

SF 2-1, 2v3, red wins, 135-100, 20 red/10 blue climb points, 6 penalty points awarded to blue. 3951 didn't seem to have any problems with the suspect drivers station.

SF 1-2, 1v5, red wins, 131-105, 20 red/40 blue climb points, no penalties. 1511 fell in mid-climb when 191 tried to hang on their pyramid.

<timeout alliance 2>

SF 2-2, 2v3, red wins, 198-84, 40 red/10 blue climb points, 20 penalty points awarded to red.

SF 1-3, 1v5, red wins, 148-124, 40 red/50 blue climb points, no penalties. 191 dead at start of auto till about 90s remaining in match

F 1, 1v2, blue wins, 128-61, 10 red/20 blue climb points, 3 penalty points awarded to red. 1334 had climber problems, 610's right side drive unit failed after a tussle with 3951. 1511 couldn't get lined up for their climb.

<timeout alliance 1>

F 2, 1v2, blue wins, 141-73, 10 red/40 blue climb points, no penalties. (like 1559 earlier, 610 didn't make it back from their timeout in time, but was allowed to play.)

QF4-2, 3173 had no comm the whole match.
Also, Alliance 3 never used our timeout. We almost had to, but we didn't.

EDIT: Oh, and I forgot to add my congratulations!

Congrats to the victors, 4039, 1334, and 3951.
4039- You guys were consistent all day, and you put up some mad points.
1334- You guys are incredible. 'Nuff said.
And 3951- I had no idea who you were, but you completely shut down 3173 in our semis, and that's not easy to do. Congrats on your win, you deserved it.

And to the finalists-
191- You guys were a surprise to seed 1st- but you were consistent all day, and the only robot to go 6-0 in quals. Nice job.
610- You guys are phenomenal. I already knew that, but strategizing with you in our qual match together was awesome. I thought for sure you guys had this comp in the bag.
1511- We were reeeeeally close to picking you over 578, and if you were a little shorter, we likely would have. But we didn't want our fullback blocking our FCS, sooooo.... I think it turned out pretty well for you guys, though!

Fantastic job to everyone, and what a fun competition that was.
And I apologize to all for being THAT alliance captain that picks a team that was already picked. I felt rather bad after that. :D

Yes. I got some behind-the-glass videos during quals, and videos of Team 20's elim matches. I am uploading them to youtube as we speak.

MakeShift would like to thank the organizers and volunteers of Ruckus '13 for a putting on a great event. From the warm welcome to the spooky atmosphere, the whole thing was well-organized and fun. For any teams considering traveling to Ruckus next year, we highly recommend it!

It was an honour to play in the finals against the X-Cats (191), the Coyotes (610) , and Rolling Thunder (1511).

Thanks to the Red Devils (1334) and the Suits (3951) for being amazing alliance partners.
