This competetion is going to be crazy and so much fun! Are any teams interested in trading shirts? Team 20 could gladly bring some to Ruckus if anyone wants to make the swap.

Re: 2013 Rah Cha Cha Ruckus!

Looking like 8 Canadians, out of 37 teams attending.

Basing the ranks on Max OPR (including Championship), it stacks up like this:
(note: I assumed 4930 will perform equal to 1507. This may not be a fair assumption)
Code:

Rank by OPR        Team        Location                Max OPR
1                1310        Toronto, ON                83
2                20        Clifton Park, NY        82
3                1334        Oakville, ON                69.5
4                610        Toronto, ON                63
5                3173        Rochester, NY                59.8
6                4039        Hamilton, ON                59.1

10                4001        Thornhill, ON                53.8
11                3015        Spencerport, NY                50.4
12                1507        Lockport, NY                48.5
13                4930        Buffalo, NY                48.5
14                4343        Aurora, ON                46.3

36                4203        Oneonta, NY                6.9
37                3157        Rochester, NY                2.6

6 of the top 10 are Canadian. Ought to be interesting to see how the alliance selections play out.

6 of the top 10 are Canadian. Ought to be interesting to see how the alliance selections play out.

1310, 1334, 4039 610 and 1241 are obvious threats to win it all. Watch out for 20 who had a very disappointing IRI and will be looking to put on a show.
3173 is the only FCS at Ruckus and is dangerous. 191, 340 and 1511 are savvy veterans who know how to handle themselves.'
Don't sleep on the FLR champs 1559. 1405 and 3003.
If I went by these rankings I'd make 3015 my sleeper.
They are fast and deadly accurate.I want to get a look at 4001 and 3044 and see what they are about.

4001 is a pretty decent cycler. They (along with eveyone else) have had a lot of time to improve, so I expect some good things from them.

Myself and the rest of Team 340 are really looking forward to this Saturday. I love how much this event has grown into a truly competitive environment that is attracting some great teams.

See you in a few days!

This event is filled to the brim with cyclers.

Not many with a 50+ OPR

Re: 2013 Rah Cha Cha Ruckus!

4930 performing like 1507 is not a fair assumption. The robot we (4930) will be using is not, strictly speaking, 1507's second robot. 1507 never had a second robot. They did have, however, a spare shooter assembly and drive base, which they generously donated to us. That being said, we've been working with a skeleton crew of students because of school sports, so we haven't had time to really test or iterate at all. Either way, we're definitely looking forward to the Ruckus.

Actually I was actually asking if there are any signed up for Ruckus.
Far as I can tell there are none.

I was so looking forward to winning this event with 1334 and 340. What could have been.

Re: 2013 Rah Cha Cha Ruckus!

1310, 1241, 20 and 1507 are the teams that pop out to me with a floor pick-up. Of them, 1310 is probably the most deadly.

1126 also has a floor pick-up, which was largely non-functional at FLR/Buckeye. Given the time they've had to iterate, we'll see what they bring to the table in 3 days.
