2014 Predicted Event Calendar
 

In an effort to figure out travel schedules, I wanted to compile a list of events for the 2014 season. While the official schedule is several months away, I figure everyone has a little bit of insight into a few regionals.

*DISCLAIMER* The official event calendar will be released by FIRST in September. Any plans based on inaccurate information in this thread are not the fault of the posters. This post is in the Rumor forum for a reason.

I'll get it started and try to keep this updated as more information is made available. Please provide justification for your prediction (i.e. listed on venue event calendar, host university spring/quarter break, local FIRST affiliate email, etc.)

Israel will be at week 1.5 for sure.

Last I heard Virginia was looking to be 3rd. But that was 2 months ago

I hope this prediction is wrong, but according to the SJSU and UC Davis websites, both have their spring breaks during week 5, which would result in SVR and Davis being the same week. :eek:

I highly doubt that would happen as usually the 3 events in northern California (SVR, Sac, CVR) end up on different weekends just as the 3 events in southern California (LA, SD, IE) do. I'm sure something will be worked out to keep the events on different weekends.

Yeah, I just checked with a source and they're confirmed for different weeks.

Bayou will be Week 6. (Apr 3-5)

That will put it the latest it has ever been. It is typically in the front half of the season, but often changes.

I would expect the Canadian regionals to hold their positions, but have nothing to confirm that (except the post about the new North Bay "Northern Ontario Regional" claiming it will be week 1 or 5, dependent on what the fate of GTRWest is).

GTRWest may be moving to a new home in 2014. If it stays at Hershey Centre, I'd expect Wk 1 ONNB, Wk2 ONTO, Wk3 QCMO, Wk4 ONWA, Wk5 ONTO2, and Wk6 ABCA. If ONTO2 moves, it could go to Wk1 and ONNB to Wk5.

Per the HBG Convention Center website, Alamo will be Week 1 next year.
