Developers needed for RobotOpen hardware/software
221 Robotic Systems is currently in need of developers for our RobotOpen line of controls products.
Please visit RobotOpen.biz to learn about current offerings. There are many ongoing tasks associated with the RobotOpen family. Sasquatch, our newest control product is being prepped for initial shipment as we speak. (Sasquatch was originally conceived for the FRC2015 Controller Bid process.) A main component of the RobotOpen system is our driver station app. The app currently runs in Chrome as a browser extension and is responsible for communicating with the board; i.e. sending joystick data and receiving data from the controller. The app is excellent but is primed for some improvements. Aside from this we are developing new hardware and continually expanding the vision for RobotOpen. The tasks at hand are varied. We have modest funds available for our independent contractors, but we are also interested to find some generous volunteers who are excited about Arduino and the open-source movement. If you feel you have the relevant skills and are interested to lean more about how you can help please email me directly. We are specifically looking for talented electrical engineers to help with our new products and software developers who are specifically geared towards low-level library modifications for the Arduino and the driver station app (javascript and HTML). Serious inquiries only. These tasks are not beginner-level. Please feel free to review our codebase in our Git repositories. github.com/221robotics We look forward to hearing from you. |
