Re: [FTC]: First Tech Challenge Blog Post & Hints
I went in and browsed the entire mentor guide. I hadn't ever done that before, and it is quite a good document. I think students should also read through most of that. It will make everybody a smarter team member.

And the ftc 2013 game is ... my guess... slam dunk. They clearly have tried to mirror some frc games. Rebound rumble was a largely popular game. It has been a while since a traditional ball game.

Re: [FTC]: First Tech Challenge Blog Post & Hints
I finished the game animation & sent it over to FIRST for final editing.
Of course I can't post any information, but I can say the Game Design Committee again did an outstanding job coming up with a game that will be very challenging & fun. I can't wait to see all the ingenious solutions to this year's game tasks! Kevin Thorp, Mentor FRC Team 3489 "Category 5" Summerville, SC ![]() |

I keep forgetting that you do the animation for the FTC game every year Kevin. I hope it looks good. I wish I was working with a team this season.

Re: [FTC]: First Tech Challenge Blog Post & Hints
This game is gonna be a lot of fun! Almost makes me wish I was doing FTC instead of FRC. But I guess that would be a little unfair, since I get to see the rules 2 months early. ;)
My job is easy. I can "fake" scoring points with silly cartoon 'bots. The FTC teams have to deal with real physics. Quote:
