Maybe the more important question is where will you be emceeing this year?

Except decisions like registration aren't up to me anymore (still suffering withdrawal...), so I'll just have to plan a visit home the mysteriously coincides with 1124's competitions

I'd have to quit my job to do all the events I'd liketo do, but we'll see...

And to second Jess, we need all these bright young FIRST alum to come back and volunteer this year!

You have me confused. You indicate Groton as a week 3 event, but all the schedules I have seen it is a week 2 event (Mar 8-9). Do you know something we don't know?

You're right, it's week 2; I got confused because it's the 3rd NE event. "Connecticut Shoreline District" is March 8 & 9 (Sat & Sun), week 2.

The Sub Base said "SURE! No Probs!" to the submarine rides, by the way. Great idea! Their going to have a Nuc tied up down the hill at the West Mystic Marina. ;-)

1519's excited to be registered for Granite State and Northeastern (waitlist)!

Anyone know when teams start getting pulled off the waitlist? Is it around the 12/5 date that 1st & 2nd district event registration closes, in advance of the 12/12 date that 3rd district event registration opens?

Brando,

We are really, really glad to see 125 on the list for the Groton event! And CyberKnights too. Plus our good pals Gus & Robosquad (The Ocho!), and my own personal long-time inspiration source, Buzz! This is going to be fun.

So far we're going to see:

178 2nd Law Enforcers, 1124 Uberbots, 175 Buzz
2067 Apple pi, 181 Birds of Prey, 278 GUS
558 Robosquad, 236 Techno-Ticks, 230 Gaelhawks
195 Cyberknights, 571 Paragon, 78 Air Strike
125 NU-TRONs, 155 Technonuts, 2170 Titanium Tomahawks
1099 DiscoTechs, 1991 Dragons, 1699 Robocats
237 Black Magic, 3718 Junkyard Battalion, 3182 Athena's Warriors
2836 Team Beta, 4055 NRG, 3719 STEM Whalers
3634 Hard Botties, 3654 Tech Tigers, 4557 Full Metal Falcons

I see at least 16 teams there that could take the whole thing.

We'll miss our friends from New York & New Jersey, however. I hope they figure out how to work in some crossover in the future.

Re: Which NE District Events Do you want to attend?

It looks like New England currently has 151 teams registered for this year, and 149 have chosen events after the opening of the second round of Event Registration. And here is where the events stand:

Event: #Registered/#Open/#TotalWaitSpots

Granite State: 30/0/10
UNH: 30/0/10
Groton: 28/2/10
WPI: 32/0/8
Southington: 24/6/10
Rhode Island: 24/6/10
Northeastern: 30/0/10
Pine Tree: 29/1/10
NE CMP: 0/53/0

So 133 spots still remain in New England. While the waitlist spots per event are generally held for Rookies, it looks like 5/10 registered rookies have confirmed two events, meaning 5 rookies are either waitlisted or haven't chosen their second event.

With only 227 confirmed registrations above, it looks like of the 141 veteran teams, ~70 teams either are waitlisted or haven't registered for their second event.

It also looks like 14 teams from the 2013 Season have not yet registered for the 2014 season.

With 360 spots available in New England, if we have 151 teams, it looks like 58 teams will have the opportunity to register for a 3rd event if all events go to capacity.

So get on those Registrations ASAP!!
