TShirts into quilts
Like many of you, I've been hoarding TShirts for years and years (an years). I've always admired and bid on the team quilts at IRI.
I found a company that will take your shirts and create a quilt from them Project Repat. They will make almost any size and can manage either a single shirt side/fleece or both sides of shirts. Pretty simple process. Log into the site, pick quilt size and style. They send you a bag with a prepaid mailer. Pick your shirts out and mark which side(s) they are to cut to a 12"x12" square. In my case, I had to ship 48 shirts, so I had to box them and then use the prepaid sticker. Four weeks later I got my double sided 4*6 quilt back. It is amazing. I'm super pleased with the job that they did. And I can see all of my fondest robot memories while I drift off to sleep  For those of you looking for a great Christmas gift, this may be the way to go. (And for those that can't sneak 30 shirts out of the house they have a Gift Card that saves you $50. Teams looking for an unique fundraiser may want to consider it. Who wouldn't want ALL of your team shirts! Highly recommended way to either create a keepsake or keep you off of "T-Shirt Hoarders" |
Re: TShirts into quilts
I got one made at http://www.campusquilt.com/order/. Wasn't all robotics shirts, but mostly that, plus a couple others to fill out the quilt quantity.
