Anyone have any good pick up lines for girls to use at competitions?
 

We all know of the beautifully famous thread regarding pickup lines that guys have used on girls at competitions This thread, however, is directed at the awesomeness that can be robogirl pick up lines.

So the real questions are:
If you are a girl, what pick up lines have you used at competition?
Guys, what pick up lines have they used on you?

This past weekend at an offseason competition I was helping run (Girls Generation), someone handed me a teabag.

Later, I saw that she had written:

A friend and I also happened to compile a list of about every nerdy pickup line, ever. It would take some work to organize, but if enough people request it, I might just have to post it here.

I believe I've had a few secret admirers at competition, which is very flattering.

I received a note my sophomore year telling me that I was cute. And the following year, a team member from 399 would occasionally shout, "you're attractive!" to me while I was the human player. I was thoroughly convinced she was yelling at someone else, but the shouts became more and more specific.

This doesnt really fit into pick up lines but at GTRE Our drive team was standing talking to 1547's drive team talking strategy for our next match. Somehow we had come to talking about robots in the way or something and they said.

Waldo "You can slam us...were only 90 pounds..."
Our driver "I don't want to slam you"
Waldo "You you can slam us. We can take it."

I'm not sure if they were being serious and that is the way their words came out or not, but they had smiles on their faces when they said it so it seemed their word choices were deliberate. ( Our drive team was trying not to laugh the whole time)

Lol and girls don't need to use pick up lines, all they need to do is say hi and they've got you.

Also to those girls who commented on our drivers skills at Northbay regional, you made his ego massive. His head was as big as a zeppelin. It took days to deflate his ego even just a little! Those of you we will be seeing at worlds, please try to minimize ego inflation or you can play pop the zeppelin for some fun!

A classic way is for you to drop your pocket protector on the ground in front of him, and he picks it up for you.

"Hi" might be a little brief. "Hello", demonstrates more interest because it takes longer to say. Especially if you say it in a low breathy voice.

Effective pick-up line #1: [Dater extends hand and says] “Would you hold this while I go for a walk?”

Effective pick-up line #2: “Hey, I’m (introduce yourself). Can I take you out some time?”

Effective pick-up line #3: “I really like your [comment on anything interesting the person you wish to meet is holding, wearing, reading, etc.].”

Effective pick-up line #4: “This party really surprised me with the (food, wine, view, entertainment…pick something).”

Effective pick-up line #5: “You look like trouble!”

Effective pick-up line #6: “Hi (followed by a friendly smile)!”

Just Hi with a smile will go a long way. When the herd is on the move: Would you mind if I walked back to the .....pits, etc..... with you? What's he gonna say?
But still, why do you need a pickup line? Ask your team to give you a job. you are there to support your team...aren't you?

Mark: I think you are being hard on her. She is a typical teenager wanting some suggestions to help meet a guy.

From a guy's point of view, it doesn't seem like rocket science. There is a joke that ends in "a warm body", but we won't go there on this family friendly forum.

Remember, some guys are really dense (especially nerdy robotics guys?). Remember when you were that age. A girl can smile and say hello to you, and the guy just thinks she is being friendly. Sometimes the girl needs to be a little more forward.

How about this competition related line: "Did you see that pickup device on Robot NNN? What pickup line do you use?" :yikes:

Well I find that pick up lines work better when you add personalized flavor the the person to are trying to use it on : mild observations can go a long way

I.E.{ (using any ne from my team) My my, you look SMASH-ing
}
or you can use some ice breakers
how much does a polar bear weigh (enough to break the Ice)
then again you could go with the subtlety of a brick (it works very well especially if you're like me and your mind reading helmet isn't working just yet)
: Hi my name is _____ whats yours
if you were a triangle you'd be acute one
I lost my number can I have your's (cheesy enough to work)
Do you mind If I try a pick up line on you? (its a sneaky one)
