Are there any plans for a recording of this to be posted after the webinar?

1678 will be tuning in! We found out about the webinar after scheduling a chairman's meeting for that time. Worked out perfectly :D

There should be a recording put up after the webinar is done. Might be posted here when available... It should be somewhere on the first Canada site...

Thanks, Jim! I had a lot of fun with this webinar. It was my first time giving a talk on the Chairman's Award, and compiling all the lessons learned from years of Simbot submissions was a fun challenge. I hope to do this one again in the future.

If anyone has any questions about the content of last night's webinar, feel free to post them here. I'll get Powerpoint slides online shortly after I fix some typos, and FIRST Robotics Canada will be posting the recording on their site in the near future.

Hey Karthik,
This question is pretty general but what kind of person do you believe is the most valuable asset on a Chairman's Award Sub-team? Not necessarily presentation specific but on the presentation team as well as the video and essay portions?

Thanks,

Kabir

Karthik, thank you so much for taking your time to bring such an amazing presentation to the FRC community! I learned a lot and you really brought to light areas in the chairmans process that get overlooked and too focused on.

Thank you!

Hi Kabir,

That's hard question, since there are many skills that are needed in putting together a quality Chairman's submission. I think this one can be answered with my favourite Emerson quote; "Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm." You're looking for someone who is both passionate about the Chairman's Award and what it stands for, as well as someone with a deep understanding of the culture of your team and the impact it has created. That aside, a student who's a charismatic public speaker and has the ability to clearly convey thoughts on paper is going to be a valuable asset.
