ive been having this problem: cd somehow marks posts, and actually whole threads that i havent read as having been read.
is anyone else having this problem?

This problem occurs due to the fact that vBulletin works on a timer, so to speak. After you click on a link that leads to a thread, the timer starts. If 15 minutes go by, and there hasn't been a new post, the cookie times out and the forum [and, or] thread, is set to read...

~Being "Active" and "Inactive" also aids in making the decision. Not sure how though.

Thanks for answering the question about the whole read thread thing..I noticed that, too..I would go to the page and many threads would be listed as unread that I hadn't even so much as looked at the titles of.

~Angela who should get in the habbit of actually looking at the threads page after opening then instead of waiting an hour to do so
