Getting programming liscenses at kickoff.

Every kickoff we acquire LabView. Is there a way to get the other languages (specifically Windriver) alongside this, or do we only get one language per year?

Thanks

We get three official languages each year.
In the Kit there are discs/thumbdrives for LabVIEW and Windriver with online updates for each,
while Java is available complete online.

We're doing the "VexPro thingy" instead of getting the kit.

You're still getting most of the kit. (You'll come home with one large tote, and it will be full.) The only difference is you get a gift card to AndyMark instead of a drive base. (I'm assuming that's what you're referring to.) You'll still get software packages and a whole bunch of other parts even if you get the voucher.

Here's the black tote checklist from last year: http://www.usfirst.org/sites/default...ckToteRevB.pdf

Everything on the list was distributed to all teams, even the ones that took the voucher. Note the first 2 items on Page 7. (Java is strictly downloadable, since there's no license attached to it.)

In 2014 the NI tools will install without the LabView Disk. The tools have the imaging tool, DS so on. So if you are running Java, you can download the tools for NI (after kickoff), run the Netbean plugins and never touch the disk.
