CD Christmas Cards 2013

Haven't seen this yet, so figured I'd get the ball started. its started a little later but, I really enjoyed all the cards last year.

It's time to sign up for CD Christmas Cards!

A book of stamps is currently: $9.20 USD (Up $0.20 from last year.)

Since it takes two stamps to mail to Canada, Canadians please make sure to sign up for 2 spots.

We'll limit this, as in past years, to 40 sign-ups, so this way no one is spending more than $18 in stamps (which is two books of stamps, unless you're Canadian – if all sign-ups are to America, your cost would max out at around $34)

Spread the word! Tell your friends, tell your enemies, tell your robot. It’s a lot of fun when a lot of people sign up! Even if you don't celebrate Christmas, you are welcome to participate!

The deadline is going to be Monday, December 2, 2012. This means that you must have PM'd me your address before 11:59pm on 12/2. I will send out a reminder PM on 11/30 if you have signed up but have not sent me your address, but it will make both of our lives easier if you just send it as soon as you sign up.

Obviously, we can't track you down and force you to send cards--but try to avoid being a spoilsport. Don’t forget to send them, and don't put them off until the last minute!

And yes, this means the other folks involved will get a physical address (via PM), so check with the parents as applicable.

So, if you're in for this year, add your name to the list and PM me your address (be sure to include special instructions if you're a college student who will be leaving campus and you want your cards to be sent to a different address after certain date).

Just a question from people (like myself) who don't know:

What do we put on the cards?
Is there any examples from past years?

Anything. Some people choose to send robot themed cards, pictures of their team, holiday cards, Festivus poles. You name it.

The generally accepted criteria is that it will get through the post office (* cough* Billfred *cough*) and you send one to everyone.

Schreiber, what's your address? I think you need a glittery robot card.

If you want to say Merry Christmas, say Merry Christmas.
If you want to say Happy Holidays, say Happy Holidays.
If you want to wish a festive ChristmaHannuFestiKwanzaaKah, do that.

People appreciate the personal touch of receiving good cheer in the mail. Don't concern yourself with offending others with your belief system - we all signed up for this wonderful tradition. Personally, I'm excited to see the diversity of all my friendswithrobots.

No Festus poles, plays havoc with the postal system. Live pigeons or cats are OK
