2014 Catching your own throw

Anyone read anything preventing you from catching your own throw? You won't get the assist points there... but do you get the catching bonus?

Glossary:

CATCH: the event when a BALL SCORED over the TRUSS by a ROBOT’S ALLIANCE partner is POSSESSED by that ROBOT before contacting the carpet or HUMAN PLAYER.

(emphasis mine)

So, if I emphasize it that way... to me it almost says it has to be caught by the alliance partner which threw.

With your emphasis on partner, it all comes down to how partner is defined. Is your robot considered its own alliance partner? Kinda nit-picky, but I'm sure it all boils down to no self catches.
