How can we pass!?!?
I can think of a billion ways to pass and get assists points, but almost all of the require something to go beyond the perimeter of the frame. Is that a set in stone rule that no appendage can go beyond the bumper? How does this work for defense, are you allowed a net to block the other teams ball or is that too much interference.

Re: How can we pass!?!?
You can extend out 20" of your bumper according to rule G24

Re: How can we pass!?!?
I suggest that you read the manual in it's entirety, as you can probably answer those questions for yourself with enough knowledge of the rules.

This is because the rule is 20" beyond the Frame Perimeter, and the bumper will be at least 3" thick on the outside of the frame perimeter. I suggest that all teams consider the implications of this carefully. |

Unless I'm misunderstanding and you cannot extend 20" outside the frame at all... |

I too think he meant frame perimeter, but when you specifically say "20" beyond bumpers", that's 23" beyond the frame perimeter, which is a violation of the rules. This message brought to you by Abibarshim's Code Enforcement (scroll all the way down and read Item #1 in the Code--then scroll back to the top and read the whole thing for some engineering humor). |
