Re: Sad news

Team 1730 passes along their condolences. Even though we may not have met him, we know the bind that FIRST has on the students. This is like losing a member of our family. We wish his family the strength to get through this horrible tragedy. I hope the one who did this is remorseful for taking such a young, promising life.

Re: Sad news

Having experienced first-hand the resolve the Purdue community shows in the face of gun violence, I know Drew's memory will be sustained and cherished.
I'm also glad that Purdue was the site of many good experiences for 1732 - in 2012 alone they earned RCA, Innovation in Control, and DLF there.
The entire Purdue community, current students, faculty, staff, and alumni, stand with you - as does the Big Ten.
There's no question Drew was loved, respected, and admired by his peers and those that didn't even know him. My thoughts and prayers to all whose lives Drew touched.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the team 1732 and Andrew's family. It is unfortunate that these things keep happening and a young life is snatched out just like that.

What can be said? Such a senseless tragedy. My condolences to Drew's family, friends & Team 1732. I never met Drew but I wish I had, he sounded like a great person. Boilermakers & FIRSTers around the world will keep him in our thoughts.

Re: Sad news

I didn't know Andrew personally, but he was a fellow Boilermaker and 2008 Wisconsin regional competitor.

That regional was an amazing experience for my team and me and he probably witnessed all of the events that made it special for us.

My thoughts go out to his friends and family.
