Re: [FRC Blog] A Senseless Act of Violence
Peace be with Andrew, his friends and family, Team 1732, and all who knew him. We're a big FIRST family, and though I never knew Andrew, I feel as though I've lost a brother, and I'm sure we all have lost a wonderful young man. My heart aches for this man, and I can't even imagine what those who knew him must be going through, so my heart goes out to anyone grieving. Please take care.

Re: [FRC Blog] A Senseless Act of Violence
All of the compassion and hope that I am capable of giving shall go to team 1732 and anyone else majorly affected.
The words of his teacher make me wonder about my own hope for contributing to the world. Even though the chances of dying at my age is low and is decreasing as we go, Andrews death reminds us all how easy it is to die, especially in occurrences that we may not have control over. If it were me instead of Andrew, all I would want is for everyone to carry on my will, to work hard to achieve things for the betterment of life on Earth. I never knew him, but I'd like to think that Andrew would ask the same. His passing was a situation most likely out of his control, and in order to carry on his will it is our job to push forward. For this I wish good luck to 1732; I imagine this build season will be more difficult for all of you than any one before. Rest in peace Andrew. |

I never knew Andrew. My deepest condolences go out to his friends, his family, and his team. I had the great fortune of being across from 1732 in the pits at the 2012 World Championship. Based on my short conversations with the people in their pit, I know that the people on their team are good people. RIP Andrew Boldt. We are all thinking of you.

It's always sad to hear of a shooting, especially when it hits close to home. My condolences go out to his family and your team and those who knew him.

Drew was laid to rest this week. I thought that I would share this wonderful tribute to an incredible young man. Thank you again for all of your support.
