rule 3.2.2 Clarification

Hi everyone,
latly there was an update about rule 3.2.2:

"When placed on the FIELD, each ROBOT must be:

positioned such that the only contact between the ROBOT and the carpet is only in contact with the carpet in their GOALIE ZONE
or
positioned such that the only contact between the ROBOT and the carpet is only in contact with the carpet in the white ZONE and with the ROBOT between the TRUSS and their GOALS"

We are not sure if it means that the robots that start in the goalie zone must be completely in the goalie zone area or can it be in contact with part of the goalie zone carpet.

The way I interpret it, if your robot starts in the goalie zone, then the only carpet it may contact is carpet in the goalie zone. Therefore, the robot may extend outside of the goalie zone, as long as it doesn't touch any carpet outside the goalie zone.

Correct. That rule has been revised twice, from "completely in" to "only contacting carpet" to "the only carpet contacted".
