Mounting VersaPlanetary to CIM/MiniCIM

Let me first say that I have seen both this and this thread.

These are pretty good guides for how to do this. However this year many of the robots I have seen have been doing this (both JVN and Copioli from BB) and I wanted to get some lessons learned from the process. Most of the info I can find is from last season at the most recent.

Most specifically has anyone figured out the best way to do this with minimal tools, ideally not having to cut the shaft or key?

All tips and tricks appreciated!

We're still using the same process, it is a little annoying since now we have a bunch of miniCIMs with cut shafts and we need ones without.

Perhaps you could 3D print a spacer the right size.

If I am not mistaken, the shaft key will not engage with spacers on. However, if you extended the key slot it might be possible to use spacers successfully.
