706 2014 robot first render

Ok so here is what we are working towards for this year.

Your thoughts are always welcome and encouraged.
Some of the parts a smidgen out of position but you get the gist of it.
Thanks

That explains the angled framework in the back of your robot. Overall this looks like it'll be a beast on the field. I tip my hat to you Cyberhawks.

What are the dimensions of your frame? It look super long in the render.

I forget the actual dimensions but it is a trapezoid. It is wider at the front than the back. That is why the render looks a bit strange. We did that so we could get the max distance between the 2 front bumpers and still have a "long" robot.

I am really looking forward to seeing this bot in Wisconsin. Curious to see how that front intake works. See you in a couple of weeks!

Can you please post a render of this robot in the starting configuration so I can see how you are going to cram all of that mechanism inside of the robot perimeter? Maybe it's just the perspective, but I don't see how it will fit.

I do like the design a lot.

Imagine the intake pointing straight up.
Thats the starting position.

I was afraid that the piston-holding tripod would not fit below the pivot and would hit the bumpers, frame or belly pan. But, on closer inspection, it looks like it fits.

Nice design.
