Arkansas Regional Get Together!
 

Hi, I am That One Team's (team 4490) captain and we are based out of Searcy, Arkansas, where the Arkansas Regional will be held. We would love to host a get together of some sort at our school which is right by Harding University. We were hoping to maybe grill some burgers and hot dogs to provide teams with a cheaper dinner Thursday night, but also be able to get to know some of the other teams. It all depends on what feed back we get back and who wants to come, and if you have any suggestions feel free to throw em out. Lookin forward to hearing from yall!

1706 is staying at the hampton inn. I'm sure a number of other teams are staying there as well. Maybe you could come up and we could do a parking lot bbq on night?

That's a possibility, we would have to work with the hotel and make sure they are OK with it. We are gonna try to reach as many teams as possible and see where a good mutual location is to meet is.

Our school is right by the Hampton inn so we might just go to our school so that we don't just include the people at Hampton and because I am not sure how Hampton would respond to a lot of teams grilling in their parking lot. Would yall be ok with going to Riverview Highschool? It is a few seconds drive and we could have an entire cafeteria for everyone and play music as load as we wanted to.

We would be fine with that. It would depend on what time we are able to leave the event though, due to inspections and the closing of the pits. Are you planning to start right after pit closing?

Hope fully, we will probably have parents starting to cook so when we get there everyone can eat. Not sure what all to plan other than food? Any ideas or should it just be a cheaper way to eat dinner and stay if you want to listen to music or something?

It is not set in stone going to happen though, right now we just want to see if it would be worth the effort and if people would go, so I will keep everyone posted on the plan.

1939 is staying at the Best Western. We usually go pretty late on Thursday for some members of the team, but there would probably be a good portion of us that would love a good barbeque.
