Are Norgren Regulators Required?

We ordered a regulator using our first choice credits, it is not a Norgren but it is a Monnier. We heard from another team that only the Norgren Valves are allowed. Is this true?

Re: Are Norgren Regulators Required?

The answer to that question is in the manual
Quote:

4.10.9 R82
“Working” air pressure on the ROBOT must be no greater than 60 psi and must be provided through one primary
adjustable, relieving, pressure regulator.
Code:

Norgren regulator P/N: R07-100-RNEA recommended.

The rules simply require a regulator, the blue box recommends a specific one.

It doesn't appear to be required, only recommended. From the manual

“Working” air pressure on the ROBOT must be no greater than 60 psi and must be provided through one primary adjustable, relieving, pressure regulator.

Norgren regulator P/N: R07-100-RNEA recommended.

Edit:Ninja'd

Re: Are Norgren Regulators Required?

The important part of the that reference is the "relieving" regulator. This allows high pressure on the working side to be vented to atmosphere when it is greater than 60 psi. Other regulators are allowed if the primary regulator meets the specifications.
