This is a pretty slick little setup. I'm curious as to why you need two cams though, shouldn't you only need one to react against the chain load?

If you just have two shown to demonstrate you can put them on either side, ignore my question.

I could be wrong, but wouldn't a tight bolted connection hold the gearbox in place just fine? Teams slot gearboxes all the time without needing cams to retain them. I could be missing something though.

That would be dependent on load/setup, I've seen multiple setups work and multiple fail.

Yeah, us too. A lot of stuff on FRC bots sees a ton of vibration, which tends to loosen screws. We've had some problems with the plates sliding in the past.

And, yeah, it's just to show that there are two places to put a cam.
