1 minute later ;) lol.

These 84t gears were CADed up by one of our rookie students, and water-jet'd by a very generous sponsor of ours! We are very excited to use them this season.

The short link needs to be longer to bring the launcher arm down more. The little bag motor goes I think I can. I think I can but it doesn't. Our math came out to only outputting 41 lbs before stall at 466:1. . Go big or go home

How do you know it needs to be brought down "more".

The short arm is fine. Based on where it's mounted relative to the fulcrum of the catapult it pulls the catapult down as far as we need it to. And we're going big with a CIM motor, according to our math it outputs about 208 ft lbs.

Very nice. I will be most interested in seeing your robot. You guys always have a nice design. Where are you headed for regional competition this year?

Looking forward to it too. Hopefully we can team up again AND have both our robots fully functional at the same time! Our final prototype will be running around this week so we can see if any tweaks need to be made for the competition robot, but so far it looks good.
