Hopefully the inspectors don't call you out on your "Death Trap". Safety is important. ;) ::ouch::

Are those 4 CIMS in the kicker? Because it looks like 4 CIMS also in the mecanum.

Those would appear to be two CIMs and two mini-CIMs in the kicker.

Also note I think your mecanums are on backwards. They are supposed to form an "X" from the top, not a diamond (imagine extending the pins of the rollers out. They should point towards the center of the robot.

Correct: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...5&postcount=10

Incorrect: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/media/photos/20664

Actually, other way around. An X on top means a diamond on bottom, which makes for some difficulty turning in place.

You're correct if you're looking from the bottom, but you're looking from the top.

Everywhere I've read says x on top, diamond on bottom. Does anyone know why this is? It seams kind of counter intuitive to me...

Are you sure? Assuming force is applied along the roller axles, the vectors seem to work out better for turning (torque not equal to zero) when they form a diamond on the bottom.

@Rule inspectors, looks like they're planning to have a pop-out box that covers the backswing of the hammer.

Thing is still terrifying , though. We're going to be staying well away from it :P

No, it needs to be an X from the top, and a diamond from the bottom. omsahmad is correct, they are on backwards.

So we have fixed it to the "X" but out of curiosity what is the reasoning for mounting it that way?
