RobotBuilder Not Appearing Solution

Hi all.

Our team uses RobotBuilder to easily add Commands, hardware, etc into our codebase. We've noticed that sometimes RobotBuilder will not appear when you open it, although it'll appear in the Windows task bar.

This can be fixed by manually deleting registry keys as the program hangs onto its x and y locations when it closes. This can be fixed by running the following registry script from FIRST Team 1073: https://gist.github.com/evinugur/8784616

To avoid the problem at all, just make sure you close RobotBuilder with the program not minimized. Minimizing a JFrame will set it's window location to be (-32000, -32000). In the meantime, I've submitted this to the authors of the program. I hope this might save some time for any other Robot Builder users out there :]

Or, mouse over icon in taskbar, up to the robot builder window, and right-click. Choose maximize.

Re: RobotBuilder Not Appearing Solution

Every day I close programs that are minimize, and ob subsequent launches they repoen on screen at a location that's not (-32000, -32000). It's a bug in the program, not an error on the part of those who use it.

Now that I know of the bug I'll obviously be more aware of how I close Robot Builder, but the script is for if the damage has already been done - which was the case for myself and several other people on my team.

Maybe I wasn't clear. I wasn't giving instruction for closing the program. I was offering a different solution for fixing the disappearing window act that RobotBuilder likes to do. If you can see it in your taskbar, you can recover it.
I don't disagree with anything you said.
