Having notepad++ reload/update changed files in background

Hey all, I currently am printing some info to a .txt file opened with notepad++. However, notepad++ won't update the info until I maximize the window, which could be quite an annoyance during competition to remember. Is there any way to have it automatically update in the background?

This may be what you want (v5.9.3):

Settings -> Preferences... -> MISC. -> Update silently
