Has anyone tried hooking the dashboard port up to a Palm Pilot?

If I had the serial cradle for my Visor and knew just a little more about Palm programming, you can be sure i'd be trying this out...but since I don't, I'll have to leave it to somebody else until I get the stuff I need...
