How is your opponent scored when you block their shot?
Let's say you block the opponent's shot who was about to score 50 points. The ball falls to the ground, they pick it up and score immediately. Are they awarded 10 or 50 in this scenario? In other words, does a block cancel out all of their earned points from assists on that ball?

Assist points aren't lost with a failed goal, they're awarded when the cycle completes (no matter how many tries it takes to go through the goal)
Catch points do have to be from the same throw as the truss. |

So in that case they won't get their catch points?

If you keep them from ending that cycle (by a high or low goal being completed), before the 2.30 (2 Min. & 30 Second), buzzer sounds, you are correct though. (But that does not start the entire cycle over). A new cycle does not start until a goal is properly scored by the alliance.
