Ordering a Denso Window Motor Coupler?

We built a custom adapter to bridge a window motor coupler to a small gear and want to make a backup to bring to competition. The one we had was from the 2013 KOP and I haven't been able to find it on AndyMark.

Does anyone know where we can order another coupler from?

Check out the product page from FIRSTChoice. It gives the manufacturer and the part number for the coupler. I'm sure if you contact Pelham Plastics, they could help you out.

I know in the past we have just made our out of round aluminum stock. Im not exactly what the dimensions are, but if you are interested in going that route Im sure I could probably get you some pictures and dimensions from our team machinist.

I believe that product number is the AndyMark product number. I did contact Pelham though, but I'm not sure if they are the kind of company that will injection mold a one-off coupler for a random guy.

Thanks for the offer but I don't believe we have the equipment available to make our own. No mill or lathe or anything like that around for use.

If I remember correctly, It is actually pretty difficult to buy those, because I believe they were special ran for FIRST a long time ago. I could be mistaken though. In any case, The easiest way to acquire one would be to contact a team from your area that is a few years old. I believe that part has came in the KOP for years, so they should have spares and I'm sure would be happy to help.

If it is the plastic coupler with something like a 5 round slots in the OD, and then an Andymark bolt hole pattern to fit their flat sprockets, we may have one or two we can send. Send me a PM if this is what you need with a mailing address.

If you have a printer you can run a print of one at 100% solidity.

No printer but I believe we still have some vouchers for 3d-printed parts. Do you think a 3d-printed version would have the shear strength to withstand the huge amounts of torque though?

Shoot me a PM, we haven't used any of ours so I could send you a couple.

No, a printed part probably is not strong enough, even from ABS.

You can make a similar coupler if you have a lathe. You don't need the teeth on the inside, just a round hole that the gear fits into nicely and two setscrews that engage the valleys between the teeth.
