Looking forward to competing at CIR in just a few short days!

We will also be among the usual suspects in Wisconsin and looking forward to seeing everyone there again.

Best of luck to everyone this season!

Awesome bot, guys!

One of the better ones I've seen so far this year.

Too bad we won't be seeing you at regionals this year. :(

Well, maybe at champs then.

Good Luck!

I love the intake and think swerve is perfect for this game. Hopefully this is the year you finally break through and win an event.

I like it! CIR and Wisconsin are both shaping up to be pretty competitive as I'm seeing some great robots. Good luck!

Clever intake mechanism. Going to be seeing a lot of this robot this year. Looking forward to playing against and (hopefully more often) with you guys!

Wait was that an automated catch at around the 1:07 mark?"

Great robot, looking forward to seeing you guys in Milwaukee.

I really like your intake. see you for the big throwdown this year in Milwaukee. Definitely going to be a "haymaker" type of regional.

No...that was old fashioned human driving. :)

See you in Milwaukee.

Could you tell us about your intake? It looks like a giant dremel/router flex shaft, but I have no idea how you implemented it.

Really cool auto- that it can carry two balls at the same time. This may be a silly question, but is it allowed to possess two balls at the same time during the match?

Not a silly question. There is no rule against it, but the only time in teleop that it would come into play would be if you had the unfortunate task of chasing down multiple balls that missed for your alliance in autonomous.

We took an unused hydraulic hose, cut it to length, and attached it to the end of the output shaft on a motor / gearbox.

That is actually a short section of hydraulic hose mounted to a motor shaft. The hose is secured around the 270 degree curve with custom bearing supports. Additional traction material and stabalizing inserts are placed at sections along the roller for optimum performance.

And....yeah, what Kyle said too. Lol

We were attempting to do a flexible roller at one point as well, but couldn't figure it out. That looks very robust, especially with the 4-bars. Thanks for the explanation!

Is your intake bent aluminum square tubing? If it is, how did you create the bend? What type of aluminum is that? What wall thickness is the tubing?

Congratulations on building a very nice robot this year!

What a cool looking robot! It works so well. If you don't show up in Pekin with duct tape on your bumpers, your LRI (me) will be very happy.

Looking forward to seeing what you guys are bringing to the field this year in action. Best of luck to you guys and we'll see you in Milwaukee in a few weeks!

Yes, our intake is bent aluminum tubing. We used 1 x 1 x 1/16 aluminum (6063) square tubing. We made a lexan form with the desired radius and bent the aluminum over it. The form had an 1/4 in. raised portion in the center along the center of the radius in order to get the inside of the tube to bend in on itself and not crack or ripple.
