Anyone know when they'll be updating the schedule on the website? So we can see it on FRC Spyder.

The live feed quality is really impressive - 1080i camera according to the chat comments.
It looks great on my second monitor at work :)

FIRST webpages and twitter all seem to be working fine.

Just making sure that anyone at the district is aware of it, but the rankings in the live scoring (the number in the grey box next to team number) seem to be messed up everytime 3467 are on.

Livestream quality is great, just need to get the video table to consistently swap back to the camera feed :)

Got to watch a few matches this morning (instead of working  ), great pickup mechanism by 3467, super consistent!

I was up in the air how I felt about this game but these matches in the eliminates are some of the best that I have seen. Very exciting and the video quality is amazing. So good its even make me stick around work later on a Friday to watch.

Do you know who has won which matches for this series? Because if one alliance won all 4, I don't see why they would need to do a fifth (Even if there was a field error).

Blue won match 1, Red won match 2. Match 3 was then replayed due to the refs not knowing how to call a double dead ball card. Match 4 was replayed due to the red pedestal not lighting up for 30 seconds. Blue then won match 5.

WOW! Those were some of the most intense finals matches.

Matches like those finals are what give me huge confidence that this will truly turn out to be a great game.

Re: [NE FIRST] UNH District Event 2014

So now that the event is over....
I'd like to thank all of the people who made this event possible. When I saw the set up on Wednesday night I didn't think I'd be impressed but I was proven wrong. Thanks for a fantastic event!

As for the results of the competition, I'm unbelievably proud of my team for surviving a ridiculously tough match schedule. We were the 4th pick in alliance selections even though we went 4-7-1. Shows that scouting really is important.

Congrats to 3467, 58, and 4555 for the win, it was very well deserved after the 5 match dibacle in the semis and then the comeback win in the finals. Also congrats to 3467 for a well earned Chairman's award. We hope to give you another good fight for the award at district championships.

I was under the impression that Auto balls could only score in the auto period. I think I saw those balls scoring in teleop. Hunh?

Your impression was mistaken. See the first line under Section 3.1.4--nothing about when they go in, just that they go in.

Now, if you happen to score 'em in Auto mode, you get a bonus. But if you don't score 'em in Auto, you spend time clearing them out by scoring them, for standard point values, and THEN you can start the cycles. It's pretty bad if you can't clear all your auto balls quickly.

A big BIG thank you to all the volunteers and teams at the event, it was a huge pleasure to volunteer there with everyone! Give yourselves a big pat on the back, you more than deserve it.

Now I'm just counting down the days until I volunteer at WPI...:D

Re: [NE FIRST] UNH District Event 2014

Wow what a fantastic event! When we first arrived on Wednesday night I will admit I was a little skeptical of the new event with the load in fiasco & late arrival time but a lot of these issues were out of the control of the planning committee due to UNH's facilities and getting late access to the building. Overall it was a fantastic event with great energy, large pits, great referee/field crew, and all of the volunteers who made it happen. Thank you!

This was quite a weekend for our team as we have had a long history of starting off slow at our first event of the season but our students worked hard and proved us wrong! All of our sub-teams have been working hard over the past few weeks preparing for this event more dedicated than before! I can't be prouder of what they have done! Winning the Chairmans award was an honor but the credit has to go to the students who have worked so hard over the past four years to grow our team, organization, spread FIRST, work year round, and continually strive to improve everything we do!

To our partners 58 and 4555 you guys were amazing and we couldn't have asked for better partners. All three of our robots meshed so well together on the field with 58 leading the front end scoring and 4555 playing some of the best clean defense I have seen. We were very surprised that 4555 was still available to us that late in the draft considering they were in the top 8 for autonomous points. Unfortunately their robot was so smart that it was detecting both 58 and us moving forward in auto which threw their consistent autonomous routine off the mark. Both 58 and 4555 have amazing robots and we wish both of you the best moving forward to your next events and we hope to play with you again! The Blue Team forever! :)

To 176, 131, and 3597 you guys formed an amazing alliance at the event all with three amazing robots! Your alliance played extremely smart in the final matches with fast transitions from offense to defense. You are all some of the nicest, professional teams on the field during a competition. Can't wait to see what this season has in store for both 131 & 176 as you have both built two great robots!

Congratulations to our good friends on 1058 for winning the Excellence in Engineering it was well deserved award for the high quality robot you guys built that played hard yet didn't break in the heat of competition. Can't wait to see what you guys bring to NU in a few weeks! :)

Finally a shout out to team 126 Gael Force! While I wasn't in the stands too much I heard tons of stories from our team saying how much fun they had sitting together with you guys in the stands and it was fun finally getting a chance to play together with you guys in a match! I love how quick & agile your robot is combined with that fast truss to HP shot you used a few times in our match. I can't wait to see what you guys improve and bring to NU in a few weeks but I really hope we get more chances to play together! :D

All 10 of our elimination matches have been posted in our Youtube channel. In the next few days we will add our qualification matches to the same playlist.

I know our media crew recorded a lot of extra matches over the week. If you have a specific qualification/elimination match you are interested in seeing, PM me and I'll check through our folders to see if it was recorded!

Does anyone know when the list of awards and their recipients will be posted? It is not on TBA, and I cannot find it on any FIRST site. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right places; any help would be awesome.

Re: [NE FIRST] UNH District Event 2014

(Sorry for the thread necro, but...)

Does anyone know why the Blue Alliance has not yet posted the Awards from the UNH event? The list has been up on the FIRST site for close to a week now!

Between this ommission, and the NE FIRST Twitter account's failure to even acknowledge that there were winners at UNH (check their log to see what I mean), much less the only "double-blue" award in NE so far this season, I'm really not feeling any love from the powers that be for this event or the fantastic job our students did at UNH. By comparision, look at the play-by-play tweets and individual award acknowledgements that came out of WPI.

I don't think I'm not being GP - I just want our students (and all the winners at UNH) to get the recognition they deserve!
