2014 Northern Lights Regional

FRC Team 876 will again be making the trek to Duluth this year. Fortunately the weather will be moderating a bit and the temps should be in positive territory for a change. Should be a good time:)

I will be at the Lake Superior Regional, and I have to remember to come check out all of the robots over at Northern Lights at some point. I really hope that there is a Double DECCer championship match again, it was so much fun last year.

I agree. It's one of those unique things that only happens when you have 100 teams and two regionals under one roof.

Seriously looking forward to this event-- with 359 coming up, 27 coming over from Michigan, and 2826 returning, we have some powerhouses coming in. It'll be an awesome event.

We look forward to competing here this weekend and then Dallas the next.
Our team is almost packed and ready to fly out tomorrow for the red eye flight arriving Tuesday.
I'm wondering what happens to fresh pineapples in very cold weather.:ahh: All for the judges and volunteers, and of course saving 1 for the infamous MC, Tyler Olds.

Rumor has it that it will be happening again!

You get pineappicles. They taste great on a stick!

Please bring some of your warm weather with you. It is -9 degrees outside my window right now.

Forecast for Duluth looks like mid 20s for highs.
After this winter, that's t-shirt weather.

2826 is excited to return. NL was a lot of fun last year, and with some new teams making the trip should be just as fun this year.

Hopefully the kids from Hawaii can stay warm.

It's shaping up to be a good event up there - I believe at last count we were somewhere around 250 total volunteers for the two events!

As for the Double DECCer championship match... It was a big hit last year (I even hear Frank loved doing it!), even with half the teams leaving due to the incoming snow storm. I'm pretty sure it'll be happening again :)

My team 1259 came last year for the first time and did amazing. I'm excited to travel with them this year to see what we can do.

Does anyone have any info about the webcasts for either side? I won't be getting there til Friday, and I'm hoping to be able to watch a webcast for a bit tomorrow.

Probably the most fun I've ever had... For obvious reasons.

Does anyone have match video for Qualification Match 83? I've been searching for even a lumped video of qualification matches but can't seem to find one for this year.
