10 Reasons Why FIRST sucks.
 

10. All these nerds smell funny in the same room.
9. After FIRST season is over, you're too tired to celebrate.
8. It takes you away from the snowboarding season.
7. It eats up my bank account worse than a girl would.
6. I always wound myself somehow during building period.
5. Funding is always lacking.
4. Dean Kamen never answers my phone calls.
3. High school students are ninnies.
2. They dont give out cash prizes.

and finally the number 1 reason why FIRST sucks.....

1. I keep getting suckered into it.

I thought the number 1 reason that FIRST would be the fact that the local stores are out of stock of Dew for a month after!!!

Darn ninny store owners, I'll just have to yoink some Dew before they run out!!!

when i first read the title, i thought i was going to unleash some wrath and fuery. but after i saw that this post was by anton, i knew that it was all good. and everything you said is true...lol:D

When I first saw the title, 'What the heck happened to Anton?' went through my mind. But all is well in the land of FIRST, as you, Anton, have not gone nutty.

another reason that FIRST sucks... I don't get to spend qulaity time with my family for 6 long, hard weeks... wait a minute... that's not a bad thing necessarily... nevermind!

Anton forgot to mention the shortages FIRST creates:

1. Slide rule batteries

2. Marbles in toy stores (every member of FIRST
must replace theirs)

3. preIBOT wheels

4. Sleep

5. Blister bandaids

6. Sore throat spray

7. Roses for missed dinners and dates

8. Long sleeve denim shirts

9. Chain master links

10. Red dye for Ken's hair.

during the 6 weeks i have to contact the post office and tell them to send my mail to PSI where we work

indeed i cannot believe we forgot the need for more hair dye for ken. tsk tsk!

Me too! But, replace post office with parental units, mail with food, PSI with Beach Street, and work with live.

FIRST also....
*Makes parents and husbands and wifes and kids wonder what happened to there missign family member
*Makes you only have friends as dorky as you ;) cause you never see anyone who isn't on your team
*Ruins any chances you have of getting a date
*Makes lots of employers wondering what in the world happened to you for 6 weeks...
*and fills your teachers with fear as to how much work you may have actually gotten done, especially when finals are in the middle of the six weeks :(

dates? what are those? hmmm....

Anton and I thought it will be nice to let this discussion grow. It¡¦s nice to think about the things you are going to miss out on before you start the season... Makes you appreciate the lost time when it happens...
