Unofficial New England Standings

Me and a couple of others didn't want to wait until Wednesday for the official standings, so I compiled the standings as of the end of Groton. The first 4 pages of the file are the rankings. The solid black line is the projected cut for making the New England Championship, based on the percentage of all NE teams that will make the CMP (54/165 = .32727) and adjusted for Chairman's winners. I did not account for tiebreakers, mostly because they only really matter once the season ends. Now that I've started the file, I'll probably do this every week, so check back here for updated standings.

Does this include points for the various awards?

It seems as though his chart does include all of the awards.

I don't want to steal any of the spotlight, but you can view my version of this chart. I had mine conditionally formatted, but I took it off to increase ease of viewing. There are some obvious flaws with predicting the second event total based off of the first event, but it is the easiest way to predict 2 event totals. If anyone sees any issues in my chart, PM me.

I won't clutter the thread with my version of NE rankings as well, but I do see some problems with data in the OP and the sorting criteria for tied points. PM sent.

I really like the PNW solution to keeping everyone updated on District rankings http://district.firstwa.org/

Mike, I forgot to mention that I did not put in the tiebreakers. I don't think I'm going to put them in until later in the season because they don't mean much at the moment.

Hey all NE Teams,

Team 1699 has booked 3 hotels for the Boston Championship, but we are releasing one of them because we don't need it anymore, so it will be up for grabs. If your looking for a hotel let me know and I'll give you the details. Message me at penguinkd@gmail.com!

New rankings are done! Here's the link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bw4...it?usp=sharing

These are through Week 3, since WPI is already completed. Just a note, I found about 5 errors in my Week 2 standings when checking against the official ones, so please don't use my unofficial rankings as fact.

EDIT: I forgot to change the description section, it should say "After Week 3" and "Using official Week 2 standings".

716 should have 52 points instead of 51 by my simple math.:D

51 points seems right.
10-2-0 record in quals, alliance #1 captain, semi-finalist and earning the Innovation in Control award.

Code:

Team        Qual        Seed        Elim        Award        Total
716        20        16        10        5        51

Week 4 standings are up! Here's the link https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bw4...it?usp=sharing Pages 1-5 for the standings list.

Couple notes on this one, NEFIRST's Week 3 standings appeared to be missing the WPI results, so I didn't use them. As a result, the reference point is the official Week 2 standings. Also, the method I was using to project the cut breaks down under the current split of 1 and 2 event teams, so there is no cutoff line. I estimate it to be somewhere around 65 points. Enjoy!
